Injection Molding (Custom Molded Cables, Box Assemblies, Parts)
AVRGT injection molding is a cost-effective process used to produce over-molded cable connectors and plastic parts. We utilize single and multi-part aluminum molds that are CNC and CAD produced.
The injection molding process involves injecting molten plastics (PVCs, PUR polyurethane, ABS, and other materials) into a mold tool and then ejecting the solidified part. This process can repeat hundreds or thousands of times, amortizing the cost of the mold tool and driving down the cost of each unit to only a few dollars or less. Because the same mold tool is used for each part, injection molding provides consistent quality across every production run. Injection molding also offers the widest variety of materials, colors, cosmetics, polishes, and surface textures when compared to CNC machining or even 3D printing.
Our manufacturing processes operate under strict quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certification for medical device applications, ensuring reliable production and traceability for highly regulated industries.
Tolerance-focused prototyping and FAI
During our First Article Inspection (FAI) process, we follow customer standards and specifications. AVRGT does not charge customers for molds that can be reused from our existing stock mold inventory. Most new molds typically range between $300 and $1,000.
Expert manufacturability analysis
Commonly known as DFM (Design for Manufacturability), our engineering team performs expert manufacturability analysis on your injection molded parts at no charge. Drawings and samples are typically
no charge for OEM production-level customers.
